Karen Lee, former Media Director at the Monash University Gippsland
Student Union is one of three young people selected for the five week
documentary series Roadtrip Nation touring around Australia
interviewing prominent and interesting Australians. Filming starts in
late January, Roadtrip Nation will be broadcast on SBS in September and
PBS in America.
The three successful Roadtrippers, who will live and travel together
over 5000 kilometers, will interview 25 inspirational people including
Father Chris O’Riley, Justice Michael Kirby, fashion designers High Tea
with Mrs Woo, Blue Stocking co-ordinator Sarah Elston and popular band
Blue King Brown.
Ms Lee, who will resume her studies at Monash in March said, "The
experience as Media Director gave me a foot in the door to the
industry, it’s what gave me the confidence to apply for something like
this."

Ms Lee went on to say, “I met some pretty amazing people, putting
together the MUGSU magazine Ramblings. It’s given me a taste for it.”
Those being interviewed for Roadtrip Nation will be asked about the
defining moments that led them to discover their passion and build
their lives around it.

Ms Lee will keep post a photo-record and journal of the trip on the
MUGSU website www.mugsu.org.au so those interested can track her
progress.
