Postgraduates Seminars

A significant proportion of MUGSU’s off campus members are coursework postgraduates. The Gippsland Association Postgraduate Students (GAPS)  was established to do 3 things:

a) To provide a forum for Gippsland enrolled postgraduate students.

b) To address the needs of and provide support for the academic well-being of Gippsland enrolled postgraduate students and;

c) To foster recreational activities.

As part of fulfilling these objectives forums for off campus postgraduates are held each semester to enhance your study experience and to facilitate interaction with postgraduates both on and off campus. Topics are relevant to coursework students and scheduled in the evening so that working students can attend. To find out more information about postgraduate activities and support services go to http://www.mugsu.monash.edu.au/postgrad/index.htm or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Conferences & Training

MUGSU student representatives and staff regularly participate in skills training and conferences. This improves how they communicate with and represent students and is of benefit to the individual students also. MUGSU is involved in local and national conferences and workshops on distance education and is always trying to improve the understanding and practice of flexible learning within Monash and the Higher Education sector.

Surveying

MUGSU conducts regular surveying of students in order to improve our services to you. MUGSU also requests students’ feedback on Monash’s services, higher education satisfaction and other educational issues. This allows MUGSU to present well-supported research papers and submissions to Monash and government bodies.
