It's all happening, who said life's dull!

A university and its staff, like any other large bureaucracy can make decisions that affect a students success. As a student you have the right to challenge any decision if you believe the decision is unfair, harsh or incorrect. That's where MUGSU comes into the forefront. Advocacy, Grievance Procedures, Special Consideration, Discipline, Unsatisfactory Progress, we are there to help and guide you through these processes so you get the fairest result.

We aim to be a common meeting ground for all members of the university and the community, we subsidise leisure courses, trips and tours, entertainment, sporting and cultural events, and the activities of its many sporting and special interest Clubs and Societies. We provide facilities for use and enjoyment by all students and welcome the public to attend. We are a non-profit organisation and income generated through our trading areas goes to providing new facilities, subsidised services and support staff throughout the organisation.

All this cannot happen if students and the local community don't get involved. As a student get involved with the student union through becoming a board member or part of a collective, media , environment , education , sport , womyn's , welfare and activities .
