An exceptional University life depends upon the willigness to create change.
My name is Corey Jacobson and I hold the position of Education Vice-President for MUGSU.
In addition to Vice-presidential duties, I also maintain the Education portfolio. The position is very broad, but important, with many of the endeavors of past Education collectives contributing significantly to the relationship between the university and the student body. The collective is free to explore new ways of improving the student learning experience as well as the everyday campus life. The collective is formed from determined people who really want to take a hands on approach to the direction of learning on the Gippsland Campus, and also for those looking for an outlet for their voice across Monash as a whole.
MUGSU has proven that it can stand on its own two feet in a post-VSU environment, and the collective in the past has consistently been a example of the potential for change to be made real, so with the effort of dedicated volunteers combined with the full support of MUGSU, there is no limit to what can be accomplished. If you feel this is a group you would be interested in being apart of, please feel free to drop into the MUGSU offices in the Student Lounge Room 3N 148, or e-mail me on mugsu.evp@gemeral.monash.edu.au for more information.
